Miss Curly Girls Blog FIRST EVER product review will be for the line of amazing products that is Hair Yum! Hair Yum is an all vegan product made with natural proteins, oils, and plant extracts. Their products are free of Parabens, Chemicals, Toxins, Phthalates, Sulfates, Silicones, Dyes, Petroleum, Minerals, or Harsh alcohols; and are NOT tested on animals and is safe for use in dyed, relaxed, or natural hair.
I (Toni) won a contest on my personal page hosted by @frosandbeaus and @hairyum and was sent not trial, but FULL SIZED bottles of Hair Yum’s products! I was so impressed with the shipping process because it did not take long and before you know it I was on my journey! I started my hair care regimen on a Sunday by deep conditioning with the Blueberry Yogurt Deep Conditioner on dry hair, then I shampooed with the Lavender Mango Refreshing Shampoo, after that I conditioned my hair with the Pink Sugar Protein Rich Conditioner to help with the detangle process. I finished by rinsing and then beginning my styling process on damp hair using the Coconut Leave-in Souffle’.
My thoughts: I used this product consistently for 3 weeks with no extra products besides a little olive oil and I AM IMPRESSED! My hair has never had such a moisturized finish from only using one product alone (while styling)! My curls were defined, hydrated and shiny! I had no worries! Although I have heard using one line that was formulated to combine with each other can procure such results, I still have to say that the leave-in conditioner & deep conditioner was the BEES-KNEES (get it? No… okay). Personally the leave in conditioner and deep conditioner were especially my favorites! I took the vegan challenge and I approve! If you can make the investment I would say go for it!
